Product Overview

BBK Shore Power Pedestal is a configurable product family developed to provide safe electrical shore power supply for small and medium-size boat connection points.

The product is offered with 16A, 32A and 63A single-phase connection options. Above 63A and three-phase requirements are evaluated according to project-specific needs. Socket, protection, metering and enclosure options allow adaptation to marinas, fishing harbours, piers and coastal infrastructure applications.

Also referred to as a boat electrical pedestal, marina power pedestal or shore power connection pedestal, this product family provides safe shore-side electrical access for fishing boats, leisure boats, motor yachts, small tour boats and passenger/tour boats in the 25–100 person class.

What Is a Shore Power Pedestal?

A shore power pedestal is a shore-side electrical distribution unit used to provide safe power access to boats in marinas, fishing harbours and boat connection points.

These systems can be configured to provide electrical protection, power connection and safe socket infrastructure for boats receiving power from shore.

How Many Amps Are Needed for Boat Shore Power?

In small boat and marina applications, the required connection capacity is determined according to the total power demand of the equipment expected to operate at the same time.

16A, 32A and 63A single-phase connection options are commonly used in small boats, tour boats and marina energy connection applications.

Above 63A connection requirements and three-phase shore power applications are evaluated on a project basis according to load profile, short-circuit level, protection structure and operational requirements. Please contact us for these applications.
